New album for PussyCat Dolls on Sept. 16, 2008

Grammy-nominated pop superstars The Pussycat Dolls are giving the world fair warning…it’s time for global domination. On September 16, 2008, Nicole, Ashley, Jessica, Melody and Kimberly will release their sophomore album, Doll Domination, the follow-up to PCD, the international smash album that announced their arrival.

The Pussycat Dolls exploded on the pop music scene in the summer of 2005 with their worldwide hit “Don’t Cha.” Their debut album, PCD, has sold over 7 million copies internationally and is certified Triple Platinum in Canada (over 300,000 units). PCD featured a slew of hit singles including “Buttons” Top 5 at radio, at MuchMusic, “Stickwitu” Top 5 at radio, at MuchMusic, “Beep” Top 5 at radio and at MuchMusic, and the aforementioned “Don’t Cha.” In addition to dominating the airwaves The Pussycat Dolls have toured the globe as a headline act, shared the stage with the likes of The Black Eyed Peas and Christina Aguilera, and picked up a slew of awards along the way including 3 Billboard Music Awards and an MTV Video Music Award.

Now it’s time for Chapter 2…

On Doll Domination The Pussycat Dolls collaborate with the hottest producers in music: Timbaland, Cee-Lo and Sean Garrett (among others). The album’s first single, the Rodney Jerkins-produced “When I Grow Up” is exploding across Canada and is already Top 25 at radio. The Dolls recently performed the song on “The MTV Movie Awards,” “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”, and “So You Think You Can Dance.” The hot-as-fire video (directed by Joseph Kahn) is currently climbing the charts at MuchMusic and is the most downloaded video in Canada.
