DMC DJ Battle For Supremacy in Montréal

DMC presents the DJ Battle for Supremacy this Friday, Sept. 7th 2007 at The Saints in Montreal. This is the Canadian 1-on-1 DJ Championships.

DMC'S DJ Battle for Supremacy is conducted in the tradition of the old school head to head battles. Two DJs battle against each other. The winner advances to the next round. The loser goes home.

What makes the DJ Battle for Supremacy different from other competitions is that DJs have to use their wits as well as skills to knockout their opponent. Using the records as their weapons, they have to carefully choose both the beats and the lyrics that will defeat their competitor. Beats, scratches & juggles abound.

Eleven DJs from across the country will be competing, including the 2007 Canadian DMC Champion DJ Shub. Montreal DMC Champion (and national runner-up) TLO as well as Montreal runner-ups DJ Kane and iRATE will all be there. Also competing will be Toronto’s E-Flip, Maskillz, and R.Double; Free from Cornwall; Vekked from Maple, Ont.; Halifax’s Y-Rush and Full-Scale from Trois- Rivières, Quebec.

This is the Canadian Finals! The winner of the DJ Battle for Supremacy will represent Canada at the 2007 DMC Battle for World Supremacy on October 6th in London, England.

2003 & 2004 DMC Champion DJ Mana will also be doing a special showcase. Music and hosting will provided by DJs Blaster and Static from CKUT.

The event takes place this Friday, September 7th, 2007 at the Saints Showbar, located at 30 Ste-Catherine W. in the heart of downtown Montreal. Tickets are only $9.99 and are available at Vibes, Triple AAA and Off the Hook. Tickets are also available at all Admission Outlets and online at www.admission.com. This event is presented by JesseWalker.net in association with DMC Canada.
