L'artiste québécoise Mari-Lou Desmeules expose à San Francisco au Winter Salon 2009

Marilou Desmeules, qui est originaire de Québec et vit désormais à Berlin, est une artiste éclatée hors de l'ordinaire. Je dirais même pétée, dans le bon sens du terme. Elle fait partie d'une expo de groupe cette semaine ä San Francisco! Le vernissage est demain (mardi).

En attachement, il y a une des photos qui y sera exposée : "In Gold we trust", de sa dernière série "Too Much is not Enough"!!! Performance Painting, photography 84 cm X 119 cm.

Marilou a aussi une expo à Milan (avec Paula Bogatti, aussi de Québec), la semaine prochaine. Je vous reviens là-dessus.

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA - 27 October 2009 (for immediate release) Micaëla Gallery is proud to present "Winter Salon 2009," a multi-media exhibition.

"Winter Salon 2009" introduces new work by a selected group of artists whose work responds to a world in flux, where uncertainty about the environment, economy and changing societal norms yields creative output, evokes a nostalgic past, blurs the present, and charges into the unknown future.

Artists Emil Alzamora (New York), Alex Bernstein (North Carolina), Thai Bui (California), Ernesto Canovas (Scotland), Marie-Lou Desmeules (Germany), Peter Foucault, collaborating with Matthew Parrott (both, California), Scott Kiernan (New York), Scott Kildall (New York), Franziska Klotz (Germany), Carol Lawton (California), Prema Murthy (New York), Eugenia Pardue (Portland), Nicole Schmoelzer (Switzerland), Carmen Spera (New York), and Monika Steiner (California) present artworks that embody a collective tension, concern with the moment, and demonstrate a relationship with liminal space.

The exhibition opens Tuesday, November 3.

The opening reception, with artists in attendance, is Thursday, November 5 from 5:00 to 7:30pm.

Micaëla Gallery is located at 49 Geary Street, No. 234, San Francisco, CA. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 11am to 6pm, and by appointment. The closest BART|MUNI stop is the Montgomery Station. Public parking is available at the Sutter/Stockton Garage and the Union Square Garage.
