"Impressions d’un Homme Dehors" by Yves Musard @ Chez Bushwick, Brooklyn, NYC

On Saturday November 1st 2008, Yves Musard will present his site-specific work Impressions d'un Homme Dehors. Yves Musard’s choreography will reorient the physical space of Chez Bushwick, and the views of the audience, in relation to the panoramic views of the outdoor cityscape.
All About Yves
Yves Musard has been based in New York City since 1979. In 1990, he began to draw a series of choreographed itineraries in relation to the architectural detail and pedestrian views of public space. Solid Air (1990) was a large outdoor piece set in Lyon’s Antic Theater - Place Bellecour and the Pardieu Mall. This nomadic dance installation for 15 dancers was invited by Michel Hallet company, and presented in the off / Biennale de la Danse.
Yves has further evolved his concept of "spatial visitations" in the context of museums and contemporary exhibitions, such as La Promenade, in the Dan Graham Roof Top Urban Park Project, at the Dia Center for the Arts (1991-1992); Le Regard part of Lothar Baumgarten’s America Invention at the Guggenheim Museum (1993); and Spots and Loops at MAMCO in Geneva, Switzerland (2000).
Impressions d’un Homme Dehors (2003-2004) was first created in the exhibitions of Franz West and Jimmie Durham at the MAC Marseilles, in France. The piece was most recently commissioned by La Passerelle Scene National in Brieuc, France in 2007. Impressions d'Un Homme Dehors/Répercussions (2007) was presented by La Passarelle/Scene National/ODDC in Brittany
His Flânerie du Centre de St-Ouen (2008) was realized in association with Mains d'Oeuvres/Artist Factory, conceived as a work for a single audience member.
